The artist, who is known for her songs about trucking and a newly released song called “Highway Angel,” will perform December 18, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., just prior to the 3:30 p.m. MT kickoff of the game at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho.

Considered by many to be a rising star in the country music world, Lawler has performed all over the country since a young age. Born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas, she began singing in church and at various country venues throughout the South. While attending the University of Oklahoma, she fronted a rock-and-roll band that recorded and toured the Southwest.

After graduation, Lawler relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being on stage. She joined and fronted a band called Ciattic and soon began playing for packed houses all along the Sunset Strip. Lawler amazed audiences with her powerful vocals and stellar stage presence at venues such as the famous Whisky-A-Go-Go, Viper Room and The Roxy. Additionally, her band recorded a full-length album and toured.

She has since relocated to Nashville and was a featured performer for more than two years at the famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. She is currently touring the country in promotion of her solo record, Train Wreck, and is working closely with the trucking industry, appearing at conventions and events across the country. Her new song, “Highway Angel,” which was inspired by TCA’s Highway Angel program, is currently being promoted in the industry and to radio, and Lawler will be appearing at events over the next year to feature the song. To listen to it, visit Lawler’s Web site, www.lindsaylawler.com.

“It will be a thrill to see Ms. Lawler again after TCA made her an honorary Highway Angel at the Great American Trucking Show this past August,” said John Kaburick, TCA’s chairman and the president of Earl L. Henderson Trucking Company, Salem, Illinois. “It’s no secret that her new song ‘Highway Angel’ is a tribute to the professional truck drivers who stop to help people on the highways. So it’s fitting that she perform prior to the start of the Bowl game, where we will be honoring the 2010 Highway Angel of the Year, Shawn Hubbard, in front of thousands of fans.”

In addition to Lawler’s performance, the pre-game festivities will include autograph-signing by Lisa Kelly, who appears on The History Channel's Ice Road Truckers and IRT: Deadliest Roads television shows. The Transportation Expo will also include trucking-related exhibitors, truck driver simulator sessions and a traveling medical resource vehicle.
