TCA Hosts 29th Annual Refrigerated Division Meeting
Attendees to be addressed by Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, as well as numerous industry experts
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho:
The Truckload Carriers Association’s annual Refrigerated Division Meeting got underway today at the Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This event is unique within the trucking industry because it is the only gathering tailored exclusively to carriers operating temperature-controlled trailers.
This year’s robust program features keynote speaker Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, who will present his insider’s perspective on the race to the 2012 presidential election. Also, a group of expert panelists will focus on how to create efficiencies and synergies in the supply chain. Other sessions will outline technological advances in refrigerated trucking for 2013 and beyond, as well as natural gas engine advancements.
Succession planning and driver scoring will be two of the topics at this year’s ever-popular Trucking in the Round workshops. In keeping with TCA Chairman Robert Low’s focus on the health and wellness of professional truck drivers, a special roundtable will provide attendees with ideas for “Creating Healthy Truckers.” The meeting will also feature plenty of networking opportunities while participants enjoy golf, two receptions, and several meals together.
Recordings of the educational sessions held at the 2012 Refrigerated Division Annual Meeting will be posted to in the TLA Live Learning Center. Here, TCA members can get 24/7 access to audio synchronized PowerPoint presentations, downloadable copies of the speakers’ slides and handouts, and the option to download the recordings as MP3s for learning on the go.
