British Columbia (BC) Trucking Association Offers TCA inGauge™ Benchmarking Service to Its Members

inGauge™ aggregates real operational data from the “mainstreet” of trucking so that the industry doesn’t need to rely on outdated operational benchmark data.

Alexandria, Virginia:

Numerous trucking associations have begun partnering with the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) to offer TCA’s inGauge™ Online Performance Benchmarking Service to their members. The BC Trucking Association (BCTA), a province-wide, non-partisan, non-profit motor carrier association formed solely to advance the interests of British Columbia motor carriers, is the latest organization to join forces with TCA.

inGauge™ was created by StakUp Inc. and TCA to anonymously compare operational results on approximately 30-50 performance metrics against a chosen peer group, and share best practice knowledge to enhance future results.

“Our members have been telling us that being competitive is key to success,” said Louise Yako, BCTA’s president and CEO, “but there isn’t always good data available. inGauge’s benchmarking protocol will let members gauge their performance against that of their peers and, at the same time, set up internal goals.”

By harnessing data and anonymously ranking members’ performance on “Essential Performance Indicators,” inGauge™ will enable BCTA member companies to focus on areas of business that are more likely to drive profitability and efficiency. Also, by adding filters based on geographic operating range and other important “subtypes,” inGauge™ will provide validation that a company’s efforts are making a difference, both internally and externally.

In addition to providing this valuable service to the traditional segments of the Canadian trucking industry, inGauge™ will also target specialized sectors. For example, intermodal and refrigerated service providers within BCTA have expressed a desire for timely and aggregated information to improve cost efficiencies.

“Not knowing where you stand could mean falling behind,” Yako said. “We’re pleased to offer this additional benefit to members.”

Until August 31, 2016, BCTA members may evaluate inGauge™, free of charge, compliments of the BC Trucking Association. After August 31, BCTA members automatically qualify for a significant discount to the regular subscription fee.

inGauge™ pricing is based on the number of active power units for each company and can be cancelled at any time (there’s no annual contract). To learn more about the program and to take advantage of this exclusive offer, contact Chris Henry at (888) 504-6428 or
