Dear Trucking Industry Supporter:

Photo: Dennis DellingerThank you for doing your part to support TCA's National Image Campaign.  Your donation demonstrates that you want to see a better image for our industry, so I hope you are willing to do just a little bit more. . .right in your own community.

Several weeks ago, Gary Salisbury, the association's chairman and campaign's founder, announced that his company, Fikes Truck Line, had bought airtime on local television to run the Wreaths Across America commercial.  Even though Gary plans to run it for 90 days during the holiday season, his company did not have to spend a lot of money:

  • October:  3 spots per day for $297 or $3.30 per timeslot
  • November:  6 spots per day for $396 or $2.20 per timeslot
  • December:  9 spots per day for $594 or $2.20 per timeslot

After making his announcement, Gary asked the TCA Communications & Image Policy Committee to "customize" the ad, so his neighbors would know that local people stand behind it.  This connection to the community can only enhance the strength of our message. . .and Fikes' recruitment efforts.

I began this letter by encouraging you to do more.  I invite you to do as Gary has done, or maybe even outdo him.  My company, Cargo Transporters, will be running a customized commercial on local television, as well as in local movie theaters.

Watch my company's version of the "customized" commercial below.

TCA staff can create the same thing for you in less than two business days.  Simply e-mail them a high resolution logo with a transparent background and they will send the commercial to your vendor.  This offer is only available to those companies that have made a donation to the image campaign.

I look forward to seeing your logo come in.  Once again, thank you.

Sincerely,

Dennis Dellinger
