My father is the Chaplain for Pottle’s Transportation so his schedule is not like an “over-the-road” driver but he is on-call 24/7, keeps regular office hours, and with 3 hubs travels sometimes for the company. Our family has learned how dependent our nation is on trucking and how important it is for those who work in transportation and drivers particularly, to have someone who walks through the challenges in life that are inherent to trucking. His work with drivers who have faced financial challenges, health crisis, marital stress, emotional duress, death in families, (etc.) has demonstrated the struggles uniquely complicated by being on the road weeks at a time and the great need for more transportation chaplains. |
