I began working in the trucking industry in 2007 and it was the best thing that has happened to me. Before this, I was unhappy with my work, spending most of my years working in restaurants for tips. I never had the feeling that my work meant anything at all, and I was stagnating in the service industry. I thoroughly enjoy working with truck drivers and in this industry in general, because trucking is such an integral part of our commerce in the United States. I know that our stores would be empty, we would have no fuel for our vehicles, and our homes could not be built if not for the trucks moving around the clock to deliver freight. I am truly proud to be a part of that, and I would like to continue working in this field in the future; I am fulfilled by it, which has made me a happier person both at work and at home.
