Until I began work at Jagtrux, Inc., I was very unhappy with the work that I was doing. This has changed completely since becoming involved in the trucking industry. I have very enjoyed learning about how trucking impacts each one of us, from the clothes that we wear, to the food that we eat. I had previously been vaguely aware of how important it is that we have trucks on the road to keep our country moving, but I never realized the extent of what these men and women do every day. I have also had the privilege of learning how much dedication it takes to coordinate the movements of these millions of trucks that are on the road each day. I am fortunate enough to work for a small family-owned company in which the employees are truly valued; I have been able to involve myself in so many aspects of the business, from dispatch, to administration, to management, and I have had a first-hand view at the talent and intelligence of those who keep freight moving. The impact that all of this has had on my personal family life is enormous; I wake up each day excited to do my job and knowing that I am making a difference in this industry. When I come home each day, I know that I have accomplished something meaningful and I learn something new each day. This has simply made me a happier person, both professionally and personally. I cannot overestimate how beneficial my career in the trucking industry has been to my life, and I am sure that it has made me a better person in all aspects of my life. |
