Being affiliated with the trucking industry has been a lifelong affair for not only my family but me personally. I can solely attribute all of my individual accomplishments completed within my life to the skills and traits that were instilled in my character through the endless opportunities provided by the trucking industry, mainly Atlas Van Lines. To begin, as a child my father was often gone as an over the road Professional Van Operator for Atlas Van Lines. As early as I can remember I would be given the chance to join my father in his coast to coast adventures once a year. As I grew older I not only looked forward to these trips for the time spent with my father but learned the valuable quality of a hard day’s work. Once I was strong enough to fold a furniture pad or carry the light boxes my current career with Atlas Van began. At the age of 18 I received my Class B and then again at 21 earned my class A without classes but by simply absorbing the knowledge of those around me. I returned to school to complete my Bachelors Degree in Transportation and Logistics under the advisement of Dr. Richard Stewart. Transportation is the heart and soul of our hyper mobile society and creates that very fabric that our countries economies are built on. Without the advanced transportation infrastructure developed through years and countless hours of hard work and ingenuity by all members of the supply chain and logistics industry our country would undoubtedly be |
