Scholarship Won: TCA Scholarship - $2,000

My father became a training supervisor after his honorable discharge as a US Army recruiter. He was first employed at Roberson Transportation Services, Mahomet, Illinois, in June 2002. In January 2005, my family and I relocated to Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, when my father accepted employment at Carlisle Carrier Corp. After I began college, my father was offered employment at CRST International in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My father relocated ahead of my family, who later followed. I spent my 2006-07 winter break helping pack, load, travel, and unpack. Although the relocations each brought dramatic change to my life, I have enjoyed the moves and the new opportunities they brought with them. Furthermore, my father has had the ability to advance his career in the trucking industry. The trucking industry has provided my family not only employment but the ability to seek out new opportunities.
