Simply The Best
Whenever possible, the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA)
offers recognition and honors to spotlight the achievements
of our members. These recognition program are some of the
most respected accolades in the trucking industry today. They
represent TCA's commitment to recognizing the very best in
trucking.
Each year, TCA selects the most outstanding independent contractors
based on criteria that include the driver's performance record,
his/her ability to operate in a safe manner over the public
highways, enhancement of the public image of the trucking
industry, and contributing in a positive manner to the community
in which he/she lives.
Each year, TCA selects the most outstanding company truck
drivers based on criteria that include the driver's performance
record, his/her ability to operate in a safe manner over the
public highways, enhancement of the public image of the trucking
industry, and contributing in a positive manner to the community
in which he/she lives.
Each year, TCA recognizes the safest fleets in the truckload
industry based on their company's overall organization, employee
driver/independent contractor selection procedures, training,
supervision, accident investigation, inspection, maintenance
of equipment, outside activities and general highway safety.
Particularly important are company efforts to exceed state
and federal requirements.
TCA’s highest honor, the Past Chairmen’s Award,
is presented annually to a recognized industry leader who
has made a significant contribution to the truckload industry
through the association, and is recognized as a successful
business person and association leader.
TCA’s annual truck driver photo contest recognizes talented
truck drivers who are also amateur photographers. The contest
is open to truck drivers with a valid CDL who are currently
employed by or leased to a trucking company. Photos are not
accepted from professional photographers. Prizes range from
$50 to $1,000, and each winning photo is used to help illustrate
TCA's Annual Report.
