Lindsay Lawler represented TCA's Highway Angel program at select TravelCenters of America/Petro Stopping Centers truck stops across America, May 21 through September 25, 2014. Are you following our Highway Angel Facebook page? If not, you can do so by clicking here.

Lindsay Lawler's music video to the song Highway Angel, written by Lawler and Chris Roberts, is a tribute to all of the Highway Angels out there... men and women drivers who have saved lives and performed extraordinary acts out on the road. Highway Angel is a non-profit organization run by TCA.

"Slow down. Be courteous. Be safe."

Dan Doran, President of Ace Doran Hauling & Rigging, sends a message to professional truck drivers across the nation.

Trucking Moves America Forward

Image: Trucking Moves America Forward logoTrucking Moves America Forward is a new initiative that will establish a long-term industry-wide movement to create a positive image for the industry and to ensure that policymakers and the public understand the importance of the trucking industry to the nation’s economy.

Most Americans don’t realize how essential trucks are to their lives until there is a severe weather or adverse condition that prevents trucks from delivering. But the fact is trucks are critical to our national and global economy, to our families, to our businesses, and so much more. When they stop moving, the country stops moving.

Wreaths Across America

TCA provides fund-raising support for remembrance wreaths and recruits member companies to deliver wreaths nationwide

Each year, trucking companies and professional truck drivers donate their tractor trailers and time to deliver thousands of remembrance wreaths to our nation’s military cemeteries on behalf of Wreaths Across America (WAA). This partnership will further the success of this important mission to honor our fallen heroes.

In an effort to educate the public, media, and government about the trucking industry, TCA produced a commercial, shown above, that showcases the compassion and patriotism of our industry. Click here to learn about customizing the commercial and running it on television stations and in movie theaters in your local area.

Would you like to make a contribution this year to TCA's Truckload of Respect? All of the wreaths purchased on the website will go to Arlington National Cemetery. Wreaths Across America's goal for 2014 is for every gravestone to have a wreath - that's more than 240,000 wreaths! Help us today by click here.

Trucking's Weight Loss Showdown

Logo: Long-Haul Weight Loss ShowdownDuring a planning meeting, TCA officers were asked what type of programs TCA should be endorsing. Robert Low, president and founder of Prime, Inc., in Springfield, Missouri, and TCA’s second vice chair at the time, stated: “We should do something to extend the life expectancy of the long-haul truck driver beyond 62 years of age!”

The room fell silent as everyone contemplated this thought. Then they unanimously agreed that Low was onto something. This set the wheels in motion for a partnership between TCA and Lindora Clinic, providers of America’s leading medically based weight-loss/management wellness program. The result is Trucking's Weight Loss Showdown is a weight-loss challenge specifically aimed at professional truck drivers and other workers within the trucking industry.
