The Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) Scholarship Fund will be providing financial assistance to 50 undergraduate college students for the 2017-18 academic year. Each student will receive a scholarship ranging from $2,725 to $6,250, from a total pool of approximately $150,000.

Attendees of the Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) Annual Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center “let their love flow” at the fourth annual Scholarship Fund Gala. Originally, TCA believed $120,000 was raised during the event but has found that the final total raised is $222,000 after tallying up silent and live auction sales, Past Chairmen's Fund donations, as well as table and ticket sales.

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and its partner CarriersEdge have unveiled the overall winners of the 2017 Best Fleets to Drive For contest and survey. The Best Overall Fleet for the small category, sponsored by Bose Ride, is Grand Island Express of Grand Island, Nebraska. Bison Transport of Winnipeg, Manitoba, is the Best Overall Fleet for the large carrier category, sponsored by EpicVue. The winners were announced during TCA’s Annual Convention, which takes place March 26-29 at the Gaylord Opryland.

The Truckload Carriers Association's 2017-18 chairman will be Rob Penner, president and chief executive officer of Bison Transport, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Although the official vote will take place at the board meeting (to be held at the conclusion of the 3.5-day event at the Gaylord Opryland), he gave his acceptance speech at the Tuesday general session earlier this morning.
