The Truckload Carriers Association - Creating Leaders
In The Trucking Industry
Alexandria, Virginia - The Truckload Carriers
Association (TCA) is pleased to announce its new Leadership
and Executive Development Trucking Academy. This program,
designed specifically for the trucking industry, will
be held June 17 and 18, 2003 at the Sheraton Four Points
in Chicago, IL. Sponsored by Commercial Carrier Journal,
a Randall Trucking Media Group publication, the goal
of this innovative, interactive program is to provide
trucking leaders with the tools needed to survive and
thrive in today's challenging, fast-paced business environment.
Program participants will have the opportunity to gain
insight into understanding and applying the five practices
common to successful leaders, conquering the 5 greatest
leadership challenges, creating a great customer environment
for the outside and inside customer, and dealing with
the media. Attendees will also have the opportunity
to attend a valuable CEO panel featuring four nationally
renown trucking leaders: Dan England, Chief Executive
Officer of C.R. England, Inc., Salt Lake City, UT; Lance
Craig, President of Craig Transportation, Perrysburg,
OH; David McCorkle, Chief Executive Officer of McCorkle
Truck Line, Inc., Oklahoma City, OK; and Clifton Parker,
President and General Manager of G & P Trucking
Company, Inc., Columbia, SC.
TCA developed this program with Bill Webb, President
of the Texas Motor Transportation Association and a
well-known trucking industry leader. When TMTA presented
this highly successful program, it received unanimous
praise. Joyce Jordan, COO & Executive Vice President
of Sales and Marketing, Dart Transit Company, Lancaster,
TX, explained, "In such a high-paced industry,
we do not always invest the time and energy to focus
on mentoring in management and leadership. This course
condenses what normally could take weeks/months of instruction
and applies key principles to "reality trucking."
Throughout the course, participants are actively involved
in applying leadership principles."
Don't miss this exciting and informative opportunity!
