Freight Charges: How to Collect Them and Keep Them

TCA Announces Upcoming Audio Conference

Alexandria, Virginia – The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) is pleased to announce its newest audio conference, "Freight Charges: How to Collect Them and How to Keep Them," on September 10, 2003 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In today's transportation market every dollar counts. To make a profit trucking companies have to collect their revenues and hold on to them. This audio conference will explain freight collection issues including: what contract terms should be considered, what records should be kept, what "preferential payment" is and how to avoid or defend against it.

The audio conference will feature Kenneth E. Siegel, Attorney, Strasburger & Price, LLP, Washington, DC; Kevin Burch, President, Jet Express, Inc., Dayton, OH; Billy Leonard, Attorney, Strasburger & Price, LLP, Dallas, TX; Mike Patrick, Traffic Manager, Jet Express, Inc., Dayton, OH; and Lela Stokes, Credit Manager, O & S Trucking, Inc., Springfield, MO. This expert panel will address how to collect and keep freight charges, as well as current Federal Regulations on billing, DOT notice requirements, shipper penalties for late payment, the 180-day rule and the statute of limitations.

This informative audio conference is ideal for Credit Managers, Accounts Receivables Managers, Revenue Managers, In-house Counsels and Sales and Marketing Managers. Trucking companies can't afford to miss this opportunity. To register for this audio conference visit CLICK HERE or call TCA at 703/838-1950.
