Truckload Carriers Association Past Chairmen's Award Presented to
Stoney M. "Mit" Stubbs, Jr. of FFE Transportation Services, Inc.
Orlando, FL – Stoney "Mit" Stubbs of FFE Transportation Services, Inc., Dallas, Texas, was presented the prestigious Past Chairmen's Award during today's general session at the Truckload Carriers Association's (TCA's) Annual Convention at the Gaylord Palms Resort, Orlando, Florida.
The Past Chairmen's Award is given to recognized industry leaders who make a significant contribution to the business community, the industry, and the Truckload Carriers Association. The Past Chairmen's Award is the highest award of recognition given by the Association.
Stubbs serves as President and Chairman of the Board of FFE Transportation Services, Inc. After graduation from Texas A & M University, Stubbs entered the management training program at FFE which allowed him to work in all departments. He moved on to managing the LTL and truckload operations and in 1976, became Executive Vice President and was elected to the Board of Directors of Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. He became President of Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. and FFE Transportation Services, Inc. in 1978. In 1984, he became both Chairman of the Board and President of Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. and FFE Transportation Services, Inc. Stubbs is a noted truckload industry leader. He served as chairman of TCA in 1995-1996 and is a previous chairman of the refrigerated division of the association and has served as longtime Trustee for the TCA Scholarship Fund. He is also affiliated with the Texas Motor Transport Association, Texas Transportation Institute, and American Frozen Food Institute. His dedication his alma mater can be seen through his involvement as a member and councilor of the Texas A & M Research Foundation.
