Crystal City Gateway Marriott
Arlington, Virginia

*Limited tables and seats are still available to purchase

For nearly a decade, TCA’s for-hire carrier and private fleet members have donated their equipment, fuel, and professional truck drivers to ensure the more than 2 million remembrance wreaths are delivered to Arlington National Cemetery and the more than 1,400 veterans cemeteries nationwide each December.

TCA’s annual fundraising gala raises awareness of and funds for the transportation of fresh remembrance wreaths which will be placed on veterans’ gravestones. The event will be held in conjunction with TCA’s Second Annual Call on Washington, Policy Committee and Board of Directors Meetings.

This is a formal, black-tie optional event.

Nashville Recording Artist and TCA’s Highway Angel Spokesperson, Lindsay Lawler accompanied by guitarist, Chris Roberts.

Keynote Speaker:

Medal of Honor Recipient, Sgt. Sammy Davis

On November 18th, 1967, Private First Class Davis’s artillery unit was hit by a massive enemy offensive. At twenty-one years old, he resolved to face the onslaught and prepared to die. Soon he would have a perforated kidney, crushed ribs, a broken vertebra, his flesh ripped by beehive darts, a bullet in his thigh, and burns all over his body. On November 19, 1968, exactly one year and one day after the nightlong firefight at Cai Lay, Davis received the Medal of Honor from President Lyndon Johnson.

Special Guest:

American Gold Star Mother, Jill Stephenson

In Jill’s eyes, being a mother to Benjamin Kopp was her largest blessing and gave her life meaning. At age 13, Ben vowed to serve his country and expressed this with such determination. Jill knew then, that her son was destined for greatness. As a result of his determination, Ben became an Army Ranger and served with the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. On July 10, 2009, Jill received a phone call that would change her life forever.

Fundraising Opportunities

Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on more than 10 items throughout the event.

All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Wreaths Across America on behalf of the trucking industry.
