About TCA Scholarship Fund

Since 1973, the TCA Scholarship Fund has been helping students with connections to the truckload industry reach their dreams. The Fund awards up to $6,250 per year, per full-time college student. Much of our program’s support comes from within the truckload family—companies and individuals who are committed to our community’s future.

The judges are currently reviewing applications for 2018-19 scholarships.

Check back here on July 31 for the announcement of the winners.

A scholarship from the TCA Scholarship FundSM will be awarded on a per-semester basis. It will be renewed for the second semester upon the showing of good academic standing by the recipient. The total amount of the scholarship will range from $2,725 to $6,250.

The trustees will mail the scholarship check directly to the college or university for distribution. Scholarship monies are to be used for tuition purposes only.

The scholarship will be voided on the basis of expulsion or dismissal from school or discontinuance of the education process for more than 12 consecutive months. The scholarship may also be voided if the student does not maintain full-time student status or his/her GPA drops by more than 1 point. The trustees reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship at their discretion.

In addition to the standard TCA Scholarship of $2,725, the Fund awards seven larger scholarships named after significant contributors to the Fund, as well as Past Chairmen whose scholarship funds have achieved at least $50,000 in donations. The 2018-19 school year marks the first time that the Robert Low Scholarship will be awarded.
