FMCSA’s Earl Adams Addresses TCA’s Fall Business Meetings

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) was pleased to welcome Earl Adams, Jr., the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Chief General Counsel, to provide remarks during Monday’s luncheon at the annual Fall Business Meetings held in Washington, D.C.

Adams is responsible for legal policy covering all of FMCSA’s programs and activities and leads a team of approximately 50 attorneys who provide expertise regarding budget, procurement, fiscal law, ethics, and personnel and employment matters. He has considerable experience in both private and public litigation, notably serving with distinction as Chief of Staff to Maryland’s former Lieutenant Governor (now Congressman) Anthony G. Brown.

Adams earned a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Morehouse College.

TCA thanks Adams for not only addressing attendees, but for his, and fellow FMCSA staff’s, continued effort to improve safety within our national transportation network. As Adams noted in his remarks, opportunities are bountiful for cooperation and shared success between the trucking industry and government.
