SCOTUS Reimposes the Emergency Stay for Vaccine Mandate

Today, the Supreme Court ruled to reimpose the emergency stay on the Biden Administration’s misguided Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for workers at companies with over 100 employees or for those companies to implement a weekly testing regime. This is a victory for the trucking industry as TCA, ATA, and many other partners incessantly voiced our concerns about the wide-reaching negative repercussions this mandate would have.

We applaud the Court for moving quickly on this ruling as the deadline for compliance with the ETS was expected to go into effect earlier this week. It is imperative that the professional truck driver has the ability to safely, efficiently, and effectively deliver our nation’s freight so that our economy and this nation can continue to thrive. As always, we will keep you informed as more information arises.
